The West Virginia Nursery & Landscape Association offers a wide range of valuable opportunities for our members, the businesses and individuals they serve, and the public.
Communication is key. We keep our members informed with emails and social media posts on timely issues. We advocate on legislation affecting our industry. We publish a quarterly newsletter with information that matters to our members.
Our association also invests in the future of the industry by offering generous scholarship opportunities for West Virginia students pursuing horticulture and landscape architecture degrees. We reach out to high school and younger students to encourage them to explore green industry careers.
We are committed to supporting professional growth across the green industry. We sponsor educational conferences, provide resources to the public and our members, and host respected industry authorities who deliver timely insight and inspiration. We work closely with the West Virginia Department of Agriculture to provide access to state-mandated continuing education credits for applicator licenses. We offer certification through the West Virginia Certified Horticulturalist Program and support ongoing research at West Virginia University and the Horticultural Research Institute.
Members share expertise and strengthen our community at WVNLA-sponsored meetings, tours, volunteer initiatives, and an annual meeting featuring nationally recognized speakers. We sponsor educational conferences and provide resources to the public and our members such as our Landscape Plants for West Virginia book, a four-color 80-page reference publication.
Regionally, WVNLA co-sponsors the Mid-Atlantic Nursery Trade Show (MANTS) alongside the Maryland Nursery, Landscape and Greenhouse Association and the Virginia Nursery & Landscape Association. This nationally recognized event showcases leading green industry products and facilitates significant sales activity. As a co-sponsor, WVNLA receives funds that directly benefit our members.
We invite you to become a member and take advantage of these many benefits. For more information, please contact us or visit the Membership page to join or renew.
Thank you for your interest in WVNLA.
