Legacy on the Capitol Grounds

On August 13, a sugar maple that WVNLA donated to replace a damaged oak tree on the Capitol grounds in Charleston was planted. The 20-foot Acer saccharem stands as sentry to the southeast entrance of the Capitol. This planting continues a legacy. In 1989, WVNLA donated another sugar maple at the Capitol to commemorate its 50 years of service to the industry and people of West Virginia.
