Congratulations to Skylar Welch who obtained his Certified Professional Horticulture credentials on July 9 when he passed the exam. Skylar is a Foreman/Meadow Specialist at Native Havens, LLC, in Kearneysville, WV. Applicants for certification must meet education/work experience standards and obtain a score of at least 70% on the exam, which consists of 100 multiple choice questions and 25 plant identifications. The exam is based on the material presented in WVNLA’s Certified Professional Horticulturist manual, available for $60 to WVNLA members and $100 to non-members. For more information, click HERE.
